Recruiting Tools

Online Job Database

Use our free online platform, Huskies Get Hired (HGH), to post job and internship openings. You can also browse hundreds of resumes and invite candidates to apply for a position.

Information Sessions

Schedule a session to introduce your organization to students. Sessions usually take place in the Holmes Student Center and are most successful when scheduled in connection with campus interviews or career fairs. We recommend advertising your session at least three weeks in advance. Log in to Huskies Get Hired to request a session.

Career/Internship Fairs

Attend a career or internship fair to connect with students. We host some of the largest job fairs in the Midwest every fall and spring, along with internship fairs, graduate/professional school fairs and job fairs for educators. Register for career fairs early. These events can fill quickly.

Campus Interviews

You can interview students on campus. We offer several private interview rooms with WiFi and an employer lounge, along with greeting areas. To request use of a free space and create an interview schedule, log in to Huskies Get Hired.

Partnership Opportunities

Do you want to build awareness of your organization on campus? We offer many ways to expand your brand among students. Partnerships can be a great way to enhance your career fair experience. Explore partnership options by contacting Career Services.

Internships

Internships are short-term, career-related work experiences that prepare students to meet your workforce needs. Students can earn academic credit or a transcript notation for their internship experiences.

Internships are increasingly being offered as paid experiences. Students incur charges when they take an internship for credit, which can pose a financial hardship. As a result, paid internships can generate a stronger applicant pool, particularly in high-demand fields.

Internships should align with the NACE Position Statement on U.S. Internships, which addresses the Fair Labor Standards Act. For more information on legal issues related to internships, consult your organization's advisors/legal counsel.
